Cards and Gin with the family
This morning, I woke up at 7:30 AM and found my parents and my little brother playing Big Two on that huge Cal King bed my parents have. I joined them and we started playing Gin Rummy! It was so much fun! We played until 8 AM and then went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.
My dad won all the rounds of Gin Rummy and this was his first time playing.

My daughter goes to kindergarten, and there is a boy there who is blind. She didn’t understand what this meant, so I explained. The next day when I picked her up, I found her sitting across from the boy with her eyes closed, describing what trees looked like. The boy was grinning from ear to ear. GMH.
I hope my children are as thoughtful as this little girl. <3
I feel like Dark Chocolate Today
I think it would be exciting to start describing my emotions via food.
Dark Chocolate is bittersweet to me and absolutely delicious. Bittersweet? You wonder. This whole week has been bittersweet. I’ve gone to two banquets already and even though I’m excited to be a senior and experience all the joys of being the loudest cheering group at assemblies, I’m going to miss this year...
