Thesis
Why is this so hard to write all of a sudden? I used to be able to crank it out like a machine in high school. Maybe this essay is more meaningful and interesting so it’s taking me longer.
I like college writing, even though I know it’s going to be hard as hell.
Get past those troubles.
I am listening to an old song, “Go Away” by 2ne1 and I remember how this song helped me get by some pretty rough patches during the beginning of my senior year. It goes to show how much music can help emotionally. I guess the memories that stick with the song can be a good or bad thing.

The jacket.

Always let your girl have one of your jackets. No matter what, she’ll love that jacket more than anything. Why? Because it has your scent on it. It reminds her of being in your arms and it makes her feel safe and special wearing it. She’ll always want to wear it because it’s the closest thing she has to being in your arms.
the jacket is...
Bear 2
There is, yet again, another bear in my backyard climbing around except this one seems a bit lost.

Competing with Free Microseminar
It was a very interesting lecture with Professor Ira Kalb. I definitely learned a lot of Marketing advice and tips that would help me for Marketing Fundamentals (BUAD 307) this semester!
Among the tips was “Get a twitter now.” Guess I’ll have to get one and keep up with everyone!

Stop Coddling the Super-Rich
By WARREN E. BUFFETT
Published: August 14, 2011
OUR leaders have asked for “shared sacrifice.” But when they did the asking, they spared me. I checked with my mega-rich friends to learn what pain they were expecting. They, too, were left untouched.
While the poor and middle class fight for us in Afghanistan, and while most Americans struggle to make ends meet, we mega-rich continue to get ...

SundaySunday Little Tokyo Day
Hung out Carpus and Joyce today! We went to eat at Phillipes which had pretty good dipped roast beef sandwiches and the best mustard sauce I have tasted so far. When I told my dad this, he laughed… He said the sandwiches are nothing compared to other places around the city. haha! Well I’m sure he knows the food around downtown a lot better than I do since he works there!
We decided to...

elainehsiang:
I want the kind of college experience that blows your past out of the water. I want to meet people who are smarter and greater than me in every way, who have things to offer this world that I could never dream of giving. I want to be humbled, humiliated, speechless and dumbstruck, looked down upon…

Sometimes I read the posts that I wrote awhile ago...
and I think of how embarrassing or lame some of the stuff are.
Opera
I think I’ve always appreciated Opera or the classical style, but even more so now. Is Opera commonly seen as for old people? haha there’s only a few operas I really like Marriage of Figaro. It’s so incredibly funny and well written. It’s only hard to listen to it when I’m incredibly tired. Also, some operas are just too depressing. I really want to watch Madame...
John Legend
has such a soulful voice. I like a lot of his songs but at the same time I feel that it’s hard for me to enjoy some of them because the style is too different for me haha
Odd problems I have with some music
Don't underestimate the things I will do.
SUCCEED. ENJOY LIFE. LAUGH. BE THE BEST I CAN BE. and so forth. It suppose it sounds better if it’s “don’t underestimate the things i will achieve” but that’s not how the song goes.

Evans
This bright and early Saturday morning found Ms. Willa Evans sitting on a wooden lawn chair underneath the baby blue sky, dotted with migrating birds soaring across the sky. In this world, this time, this moment, she did not have a single care in the world. It was as if the world had paused for a second to also stare at the same azure sky that everyone seemed to miss. Time seemed infinite. But the...
I want to be out of here.
I understand the point of our conversations and I know I have to compensate, but I don’t need this everyday. I can feel my sanity slipping. I don’t even have the heart to argue anymore. I’m so tired of it. It’s like a freaking battlefield with breaks for high noon tea every once in awhile. I don’t need a grenade in my black tea.
Sigh, I know I’ll regret this...
ThursdayThursday Captain America Day
I watched Captain America with Stephanie (twin: Jim) today! It was loads of fun catching up with her and eating CPK and Yogurtland! We will webcam more! Anyhow, I’ve been good friends with Stephanie for, what, 7 years now? It’s pretty awesome. She has so many funny stories :)
Captain America was an awesome movie. It made me want to jump out of my seat and cry,...

WednesdayWednesday Tofu Day
I had a nice lunch at Young Dong with a very good friend I haven’t seen in awhile. We’ve been friends since 4th grade! It’s so strange to be able to say that. In two years, we would have been friends for a decade. It feels so mind blowing. Anyhow, conversation was so incredibly fun and interesting as usual. It’s always so much fun talking to him! haha he’s a Stanford...

Definition: Family
For me, there are two definitions of “family” and a few ways I use it. Family definitely has a strong connotation so I don’t use it often otherwise it seems too loosely used and when I do use it, I truly mean it.
1. First and forth most (as if the number didn’t apply yet lol), family is used to describe blood relatives or people conducted into the family via marriage or...
What am I exactly doing with my life?
I have one week until I move into USC and I’ve started to feel the nervousness and anxiety creeping in. I’m excited definitely, don’t get me wrong, but going to college means exceeding beyond my potential and learning as much as I can. At these times, I wish I could just study science or engineering where every question has an answer or at least some sort of set path to achieve...
